What days will you be in Stoon? Depending, I may be able to meet up on a day off.

How does it perform on mountain roads? Better than the Subaru or are you still holding up traffic (lol, kidding).

Either way, I’m jealous.

As my mom says, “mountains and trees, tree and mountains, it’s all the same.” That’s what happens when you hardly ever leave the PNW for 70+ years.

Tomorrow night till Sunday morning, but I’ll likely be tied up with wedding-related stuff. Hopefully there’ll be free time in there, o nce I find out our itinerary, I’ll let you know!

Whelp, I work all weekend, so I guess I’ll have to make a trip out west at some point!

Ha, it’s overall much better. The seats are a revelation, the highway fuel economy isn’t as good, but it’s still quite good. In the twisty technical stretches similar to the Duffey, it definitely doesn’t want driven spiritedly. But it’s so whale-like that it would be silly to try and drive it like that, so I’m not disappointed.

What sort of tires do you have on it? Going from Michelin Premier A/ S to Michelin Pilot A/S 3+  tires made a huge difference on my S60. It’s still nowhere near as fun to drive as my old S40 (still feels too heavy), but it’s soooo much nicer through the curves (note: none of this at altitude).

Ha, fair enough. I’m still blown away by it all when I drive through areas like these, but I definitely don’t have 70 years under my belt

Me too, I’m not nearly jaded enough to blow off spectacular scenery like that but unlike her I’ve lived in places that didn’t have tree and/or mountains.

Michelin Primacy I think, but the fronts are from 2013 and the rears are from 2010. Dry rotted and hard, they’re pretty useless. It came with new winter tires, so if I have it next year I’ll get new not-winter tires

Looks like the second pic was taken somewhere around field, and the third pic just outside Banff. On you’re way to cow-town?

I’m not gonna have time :( All  wedding stuff until we head out to Tarnopol tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll be out this way another time though
